Run, Jump, Lift, Puke, Repeat.

I started Crossfit about a month ago and boy was I in for a surprise.
Crossfit is defiantly not your typical workout, it is a workout on steroids.

My friend Jen has been doing Crossfit for about 3 months and invited me to a class to give it a try. I nearly puked and passed out that first class but I was hooked. We have class 3 days a week and for the first 2 weeks I could barely walk. Everytime I would try to flex my quads they would start to get hard then go flaccid. I had a hard time even sitting down my legs would give out and I would fall rather than sit, it was really rather pathetic.

I you have never heard of Crossfit you're not alone before Jen introduced me to it I could have never imagined people actually punished their bodies in this manner. This is the best definition of Crossfit.
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

The workouts are crazy I remember my first day I walked in and stretched out with Jen and she showed me what we had to do on the white board so when Bruce ( our trainer) told us to go we took off.
After we completed what was written I was so worn out I told Jen that it was a crazy workout and I was exhausted. I'll never forget the smirk she gave me when she told me that we had only done the warm up!!!!!
I really wanted to slap her for getting me into that I mean really what sane person runs 400 meters does 20 push up, 20 pull ups, 20 squats and then runs another 200 meters for a warm up.

I honestly thought our trainer was possessed by some evil entity, why else would a person come up with such heinous tortures. Despite all this I am hooked I love it. Crossfit has become my drug of choice. I have lost about 14 pounds and 2 inches from my waist, hips, arms, and thighs. I still have a long way to go and I still get butterflies in my stomach when I see our workout. But as one of my favorite Crossfit quotes says I fear no man, but I fear my workout. If I don't fear my workout then it isn't hard enough.

  2. LOL, I just finished up my workout for today since yesterday day was a bad day for me ( I puked and was unable to finish the workout). Like all our workouts they look easy until you start then its like OMG!!! I had to do 5 push ups, 10 lunges and 15 sit ups. For my warm up I ran 550 meters, needless to say I want a nap now :)
